Background
While helping a coworking space downsize, I cataloged 70 chairs: which broke, which rebuilt, which resold. The models with standard fasteners and published parts lists lived twice. Seeing them return to desks instead of dumpsters convinced me: sustainability isn't a colorway - it's a maintenance pathway you can actually walk.
